Eventually a shop will be opened, in which you can spend your Beans on items.
Also, Clef may hold auctions, with Beans being money.

Basically, you collect Beans and buy stuff. The exact date of the shop is unknown, but if you keep collecting you will be able to afford something nice.

It makes sense for Beans to be the curreny in 'Clef's Coffee-House'.
