Forum Rant: Post Count

On most forums with a Post Count, and there alot of them. Well, anyway, on these forums with Post Counts there are people who post on about 90% of new threads, and post on 85% of new replies. The main reason for this is Post Count!

Post Count makes people do that for posts, and I just wanted to make this little thread because it is so annoying!

I have to agree with AoA, he brings up a good point. One thing i can't stand is people posting in a topic more than once, unless it is your own topic. Everything else you need to talk about, or even if you get into a ''heated discussion'' (as i have heard Darkstar use as an excuse) you can just use the chatbox or a alternative way of communicating/talking like the chatbox or msn/skype, whatever. Seriously this forum is relatively new, we have under 100 members, yet we have made 1400 posts (can't remember exact figure) I am willing to bet 2/3 of those posts are spam, which could have been avoided by using the chatbox.

Clef did accept my point. The chatbox is their for a reason.

I've seen conkers and darkstar quoting eachother in quantities of 5 quotes in alot of topics. One of the reasons people do this is for beans, another is people think having a high post count means they are awesome/good.

I'm not being unkind, it's just people who post a tonne are, well, sad.

P.S. The forum itself isn't for chatting, it's for discussing. Popular topics may get the same person posting 5 times overall, in the space of a month or so.

Chatting goes for MSN/Skype/Chatbox or another form of Instant Messaging. The forum board isn't for chatting randomly.

It's not a competition. I made this thread 6 days before you made your thread.
